Year II Semester I

This course unit ECO121: Introduction to Macroeconomics is preliminary course unit with 03 credits allocation and it is a prerequisite for following the course units, Intermediate Macroeconomics and Advanced macroeconomics in the consecutive semesters in 2nd and 3rd year. The scope of this course unit has been focused to discuss the fundamentals of macroeconomics by paying special attention on macroeconomics objectives, issues, model, Classical and Keynesian’s views on macroeconomics at the first phase. Under the later part of this course unit, it is intended to discuss the algebraic formulation an analysis, as it enables to students to discuss contemporary macroeconomic prospects and issues in real world. This is being a crucial course unit for selecting economics as a major subject in the second year, students are advised to pay their best effort and attention to complete this course unit in due time span in advanced.
